Marley’s Story

Marley is an adorable 4 year old Border Terrier cross. He is house and leash trained and, although crate trained too, is fine left alone with the run of the house. He is really sweet, not pushy, needy or jealous, and likes people, even strangers. He’s very gentle with children and loves other dogs. He’s obedient, allows his food/treats to be taken away from him and will wait for the ‘ok’ to take treats or eat his meals. Rides well in the car.

Although he is not a dominant dog, he becomes quite protective of children, feeling its his task to protect them, which is why he is available for adoption. He must go to a home without children, to someone who is responsible to ensure appropriate measures are taken when he meets children in the neighbourhood (or visiting his home) as he will try to protect them.

Marley is also a “bike chaser”, likes to chase someone running or riding past - its a fun game to him, get the ankles! So he will need his new person to teach him not to do this.
